about

Roser Cruanyes

I was born and raised in Girona, Catalonia (Spain), and I am a graduate in Photography from the IEFC School in Barcelona. My work is driven by an enduring curiosity for people, places, and the stories that shape them—something I continue to nurture through hiking and long-term travel.

Documentary photography lies at the core of my practice. Through it, I seek to explore and share diverse social realities, cultures, and ways of life around the world. I understand photography not only as an artistic language, but as a powerful tool for connection, learning, and visibility—capable of giving space to stories that are often overlooked.

Currently based in Southeast Asia, I work as a documentary and travel photographer. After graduating, I completed an internship with La MIRA, where I gained experience within an editorial environment and further developed my approach to long-form visual storytelling.

Street and travel photography are also essential to my visual approach, allowing me to capture the quiet poetry of everyday life—winding alleys, forgotten corners, and fleeting moments that often go unnoticed. Through my lens, I aim to reveal the world’s layered beauty and invite viewers to see it from new perspectives.
